Enhancing the Community
through Gardening

The Shasta Lake Garden Project is a volunteer nonprofit group of people who work and live near Shasta Lake and have a desire to make the city a place of beauty and pride for the community. We are working together on current and future projects to enhance the city owned property that is undeveloped.

Our Goals

The Shasta Lake Garden Project’s goals are to create a completely landscaped downtown area, featuring attractive curbside and median plantings along the length of Shasta Dam Boulevard, raising the level of community pride and contributing to its economic health.

The garden projects provide a focus for individuals to volunteer their time and resources, thus furnishing a feeling of belonging to the community. It provides a source of beauty for residents and tourists driving through the city on the way to Shasta Dam, giving them a positive impression and reason to linger.

And it's not all work... we have fun too!

When we meet

General meetings are on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6 pm at 1525 Median Ave. (Visitors Center) in Shasta Lake.
Project Days are the Sunday following the General Meeting, usually at the main garden at Hardenbrooke and the boulevard.
